In Intruded, you are an anonymous woman with glowing eyes navigating a spare and unwelcoming setting. As the player, you watch her progress from the vantage point of the realm’s glitchy security camera system.

The vibe is reminiscent of the solitude felt in games like Portal mixed with the minimalist 3D landscapes of Mondo Medicals. The gameplay is similar to Mario64 if you were ever a fan of using a lot of fancy camerawork (I was). Right turns to left as the view switches from one security camera to the next- Therein lies the main challenge of the game. Only your position determines from which camera you are viewing.

I enjoyed this experience from start to finish. One of my only gripes with this game is revealed by this shot.

Where are my shadows? Whatever. Clearly shadows are not a deal-breaker. There is still a killer soundtrack and great atmosphere in this free browser-based game. And it was nominated Indie Games’ Browser Game Pick on July 22nd! Gratz!
